Watching all the excited Chilean’s take to the street as the elections come in… Sebastián Piñera has control of the majority of votes right now holding about 51% with about 70% of the votes in. Why doesn’t America get this excited???

Emiliana Winery… Talking about South American organics and bio-dynamics.
Made a stop at the 5th largest winery in the world yesterday, had and amazing tour of the grounds and a wonderful private tasting! The wines were excellent and the property was gorgeous. Owning over 5000 hectares throughout Chile, Concha Y Toro controls about 40-45% of the total wine exports out of Chile. I was extremely impressed by the sheer volume of wine in their aging cellars but what I liked most was the legend of the “Casillero del Diablo,” The Devils Cellar. Legend has it that the devil lives in the cellar because, mysteriously, wine kept going missing. Once the owner created the legend, not a single bottle went missing there after.
So I went on another trip down highway 12 in Sonoma County to do a write up on my favorite tasting room, where I once again found myself drawn back to Valley of the Moon. But while on this trip I decided to go off of my normal beaten path and make my second visit to Benziger Family Winery. If you get the chance, do the reserve tasting and savor every last drop of their 2003 Port. Hope you enjoy, because I sure did!
Little project for my wine business class!
For the love of wine…
